Founded in 1933, Hensons' Inc. has evolved from a one-man hauling business into a firm committed to the business of recycling wood waste. Hensons' Inc. also operates seven "Mulch & More" landscape supply retail yards in the area.

We were incorporated in South Carolina in1958 and presently hold a Group #5 Unlimited Contractor’s License in South Carolina and an Unlimited Unclassified Contractor's License in North Carolina. After fifty-six years of hauling, grading, highway and utility work, we began grinding wood waste for the Hurricane Hugo clean-up in Gaston County, North Carolina in 1989. Today grinding is our primary business. We own and operate seven (7) Diamond Z Tub Grinders ranging in horsepower from 800 to 1200.

We also own all of the necessary support equipment such as track and rubber tired loaders equipped with buckets or rakes, excavators equipped with buckets or grapples and service trucks. These combined with our Trommel screens, walking floor open top trailers and the manpower backed with years of experience gives us a complete array of equipment for the grinding and processing of wood waste. Hensons’ Inc. is prepared to handle any grinding situation.

Hensons' Inc. is committed to the business of recycling wood waste, whether it is from land clearing, municipal yard waste or industrial yard waste, such as pallets, crates and scrap wood waste. The grinding of clearing debris in developing urban and suburban locations is a major part of our business, as is the processing of yard waste for many counties and cities in the southeast and mid-atlantic states.

While brush and wood debris collected by many companies is generally disposed of in a landfill, Hensons' Inc. grinds the debris into mulch, creating products that are then marketed to the public in the form of landscaping materials.

Five of our locations also serve as permitted wood waste recycling centers where we receive and process wood waste. The mulch generated at these sites is a premium mulch that we offer to our customers. Over the years, our "Mulch and More" locations have grown in order to more suitably accommodate our customers with more than just mulch products to better the appearance of their yards. By having numerous products in one location we have enabled our customers to meet all their landscape supply needs at one establishment.
